Community leaders and elected officials who attended Wednesday’s ceremonial groundbreaking for Amazon’s new distribution plant in Stillwater Business Park heard the mega company’s arrival in Redding is more evidence of the economic upswing happening in the city.
“We have a ton of momentum in our community right now. There’s really so much going on,” Shasta Economic Development Corp. President Rebecca Baer said.
“Amazon is here and that’s a big deal. We are thrilled to have Amazon in Redding,” she added.
